Wow, it's about time we update this blog, no? I don't know what just happened to the last three months! Brian and I have been crazy busy with school. Brian is deep in his master's thesis project, and just got approved to do his research with Horizon. Woohoo! I'm taking two courses this semester and only have four more to go! (But I'm kinda dragging my feet through it right now--I'd rather spend time doing "fun" stuff!) Brian plans on graduating this summer, and I am set to "walk" in December. It seems so far away, but with the way time disappears around here it might happen quicker than we think. :)
Our holidays were exciting, especially because it was Hannah's first Christmas. She saw Santa at the mall (she cried... it. was. LOUD!), and visited family and friends. She had a lot of fun opening presents, and when her birthday came 'round the corner, she was a total pro! She couldn't wait to get the next present just to unwrap it, toss the gift aside, and repeat the process. It was so cute and funny! She also dug into her banana birthday cake (loves the stuff) and savored every particle of sugar that was lucky enough to go into her mouth. It was great because the sugar high released vengeance on the awesome toys she got for her birthday! Ha ha! She had a great time, and we have some awesome memories. (I've never seen a baby fall asleep/crash so fast!)
And for you doggy bloggers, Harvey and Sadie were groomed by the lovely ladies at Petco, and they're smellin' fresh and pretty! (Still--even after a week!) I might take advantage of the service again, because they look awfully scrappy when I refrain from exercising my awesome grooming skills. ;) There was a great joke/test I heard about dogs, by the way, and how unconditionally friendly they are: "Put your wife and dog in the trunk of your car for an hour. When you open the trunk, which one will be happy to see you?" I laugh, because if Brian did that to me and Sadie, she would win in a heartbeat! (And she would be excitedly licking my face the whole time we were in the trunk--making me more irritated!) The dogs are always at my feet--and when you include Hannah, I have a little house "posse"! Playing and being silly. I love it!
Anywho, y'all are lucky that my online school forum is down for maintenance, because you get to read something new here--finally! :p Although not much is going on lately, and that can be a good thing considering how busy we are with the day to day stuff. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! --EM
